Table Liner

  • Repair in Situ
  • If repair works done under the conditions that roller presses were not completely cleared off those bad cracks, repaired roller presses are highly susceptible to spalling, thereby ending up patching-up more frequently than ever before.

First of all, under the circumstances, basically our gouging must go categorically on the first stage of an average minimum 25mm depth under the surface. If bad cracks are completely cleared from rller presses on the first stage, of course, we start doing buffer layer and there affter doing hardfacing up to 9 to 10mm of thickness.
If bad cracks are not completely cleared from roller presses we gouge upto 200mm.

  • Process

  • 1. Rollers mounted on the tuming for repair                 2. Repair in situ

    3. Checking wear profile on surface                             4. Gouging

    5. Primary mean gouging depth( 30~40m/m)               6. Close-up crack still seen after primary gouging
    7. 2nd mean gouging depth (50~60m/m)                     8. Close-up crack still seen after 2nd gouging
    9. No crack seen after final mean gouging depth          10. Pre-heating
    11. Buffer layer welding and checking                          12. Final hardfacing welding
    13. Finished welding                                                 14. Final size check
